Seven Reorganisations marks a significant evolution in Beatrice Dillon's artistic journey, showcasing her first entirely acoustic composition. Commissioned by Mark Fell for Sheffield’s No Bounds Festival in 2022, the piece was performed by the Explore Ensemble and is presented in both studio and live versions. The studio recordings, captured in London in 2024, feature meticulously arranged, close-mic'd performances, while the live recordings, made at ZKM Karlsruhe in 2023, offer a more expansive, resonant interpretation. Dillon's composition explores themes of space and structure, drawing inspiration from psychoanalytic theory and minimalist aesthetics. The album is a testament to Dillon's ability to blend subtlety and complexity, creating a work that is both introspective and expansive.
