After some time away from the club, London’s Call Super makes a (relative) return to form on this new 12” for his own Can You Feel The Sun imprint entitled Swallow Me. It’s not without inroads to his more cerebral works of late though. The A side title track’s tea kettle bursts and looping vocal tics are inspired by the contemporary experimental composer Kamala Sankaram, while the flip ‘I Love Like Your Men’ functions as a tribute to the author Samuel R Delaney, taking quotes from his very diary. Scholarly works no doubt, but both are certainly capable of getting bodies moving.
