Ilian Tape founders the Zenker Brothers make their long-awaited return to their own hallowed dance label with a new EP entitled Hidden Shelter. Their first major work since 2020’s critically-acclaimed Cosmic Transmission LP, Shelter finds the Zenkers in fine form once again. Opening with a supercharged bit of two-step that implores the listener to ‘Enjoy Reality’, the Brothers exercise little restraint throughout, letting up on the gas only slightly with the complex rhythms and expertly named ‘Practice Daily’ on the B side. The Zenkers remain masters of taste and production.
