With their first regional tour of Ireland, Ellie O’Neill and Sean Carpio will perform new music co-produced over the past 18 months. Both are known in their own right as impassioned and experienced performers, and the band is the result of a kindred meeting between the two.
The songs are stories, portraits and portals from the personal to the universal; some written for healing, some written from joy. By alternating between the roles of anchoring and releasing, the two create a sense of something at once grounded and wild. The importance of both play and presence is held at the heart of this collaboration, and beyond that, the music is free to take many forms. They will be joined on the night by multi-instrumentalist Caoimhe Hopkinson.
