EST's years on the ACT label, from 1996 until the tragically early death of Esbjörn Svensson in 2008 were “a period of almost continuous artistic growth” - The Jazz Mann. They often played around a hundred live shows a year. Their album sales now approach the one million mark. They appealed to a far larger audience than jazz normally reaches. And yet they also left their mark on the generation of jazz musicians who followed them.
Stuart Nicholson described ‘Good Morning Susie Soho’ as “darkly lyrical and fiercely contemporary.” It was named Album Of The Year For 2000 by Jazzwise magazine. For this album, the vinyl master was made from analogue tapes by Classe Persson at CRP Recording.
